Welfare is a 30 year old Irish electronic music DJ/Producer/Promoter/Sound System Operator currently based in Galway
He began DJing in 2004,originally spinning techno but has been focused on Jungle and Dubstep and bass music for the past 6 years
Welfare's gigged all over Ireland,the UK,U.S,Canada and has played in a few spots on the continent too
He's played alongside an impressive wave of talent such as,Orbital,Pinch,Loefah,DJ Hype,Krome and Time,Remarc,Doc Scott,Hatcha,Scuba,Dsitance,Boxcutter,Youngsta,MRK1,RSD,Blawan.Radikal Guru and many, many more...
He has been producing various electronic styles for about 2 years with releases on !Kaboogie Records and Ghetto Quietly.

Welfare was also part of the production duo SubVersus,along with fellow bass music producer Shatterfreak - Subversus

Welfare is also the man behind the Jungle Boogie! collective an old school Jungle crew ,as well as the promoter at the Choonage clubnight in Galway.

He was also a founding member in 2007 of Electronic Resistance,a sound system collective of anarchist and radical leftist DJs,producers and promoters.
